Norwich Actor and Playwright
Marie Cooper, is a Norwich actor and playwright, and bouncy, thrill-seeking introvert, with levels of optimism that have been known to get her into a pickle.
She loves her work and the magic of becoming another person on the theatre stages and in public spaces, in and around East Anglia and her beautiful home city of Norwich – The City of Stories and Unesco City of Literature.
Marie is particularly fond of playwriting and also experimented with writing short screenplays in 2020. Not tethered to a particular genre, Marie loves exploring with her writing, trying new things, seeing things from different perspectives and mashing things together to see what happens.
Marie is a strong believer that life is too short and sometimes you just need to embrace your heart’s desires, jump off a cliff and build your wings on the way down.
Marie has never had aspirations to become a famous actor. Her work as a professional actor brings her joy and she considers herself privileged to have found the work that she loves.
